HeymannBrandt
is a branding agency specialized on employer branding
My involvement in the branding process included:
01. designing a color-palette
02. choosing typeface pairings
03. creating a user friendly website interface
04. developing monsters, first 3d then simplifying to 2d
05. animating monster stories
06. keynote presentation designs
HEYMANNBRANDT
GOAL
My goal was to aim for a friendlier, less aggressive design that attracts a wider audience. In 2022 with increased sensitivity on gender and race issues it is important to reflect a deeper sense of empathy on every aspect of the company's outreach and designs (presentations, website, social media).
MONSTERS
WHY
The idea of using monsters manifested to reflect HeymannBrandt's employees with their unique traits. Monsters are ideal to convey emotions ( a la Pixar's movie Inside Out) and fit to HeymannBrandts "radical employment branding". They are graphic elements that loosen up the strict grit and info driven aspect of the website.
I simplified the initial idea of creating 3d monsters, and created 2d Characters instead.
UX - UI
THE BRANDING
Employer Branding has become increasingly important, specifically in fields like medical care, home care, education and other human centered services. HeymannBrandt's clients need a clear strategy to plan their employer branding. Keeping employees happy and attracting new job seekers is important for their business. The branding of HeymannBrandt needs to keep in mind the usability and create a clear and friendly UX/ UI experience.
SOCIAL MEDIA
WEBSITE
The Heymann Brandt Social Media stream should reflect the friendly, collaborative feel and invite for interaction. It should show a mix of projects, events, speaking engagements, conferences, employees.
LOGO AND TYPEFACES
CLEANER
SIMPLER
SOFTER
The HeymannBrandt logo had inconsistency to height of the letters and alignment of the signature line that I improved. For certain applications( especially vertical apps) I recommend the short form HEY. The previous typefaces needed an update and I paired Bebas as headline and Open Sans family as paragraphs. Here are some presentation slides examples.
My suggestion is to use the HeymannBrandt logo as a window to show video or stills and to reinforce branding with the chosen imagery.
