COURSE DESCRIPTION

How do you transform an idea into a short film using GenAI without losing your own voice in the process?

Over six weeks, participants develop a short visual story from its first creative premise to images, storyboard, moving sequences, sound, and final edit. Each live session combines concise demonstrations, practical exercises, peer exchange, and guided project development.

Participants may create a founder story, brand narrative, social-impact message, speculative future scenario, poetic film, music video, or experimental visual story. The course is designed for beginners and early-intermediate users. Previous filmmaking experience is not required.

The emphasis is not on mastering every available AI platform. Participants learn a transferable creative process and how to make informed decisions about when and how AI contributes. AI is treated as an imperfect creative collaborator. Participants remain responsible for the concept, selection, authorship, representation, ethics, and final direction.

Examples and course materials will reflect diverse racial, geographic, and cultural perspectives. Participants will also examine how visual AI systems can reproduce stereotypes and cultural assumptions, and how these can be recognized and challenged through more conscious creative direction.
